The Book of Revelation
I Saw Heaven Open - Lesson Thirteen

Many people ridicule it; many people fear it; and unfortunately, many people are confused about it. Words like "the coming apocalypse", "anarchy upon the Earth", "devastation from above", all these things tend to cast fear into the minds and hearts of those who pick up the book and read it. But Jesus says, "Blessed are the ones who read these words of this prophecy and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near".

Suffering for the Christ

We will be getting into the second scene which begins here. The throne room in heaven is revealed.

(Revelation 4:1-2)  After this I looked, and there before was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, "Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this."

Theologians have developed four different views. The first is called the "Idealist Approach" which uses the allegoric method to interpret the book of Revelation. This view interprets symbols and metaphors as being the struggle between God and Satan or Good and Evil. In this lesson we will gain understanding of all four views
