Who We Are and What We Do:

The “In Light of the Word” television ministry has a vision to provide Christians with an effectual means to better understand and apply God’s Word to their lives. We are dedicated to teaching people all over the world how to study the Bible in a simple, clear, and concise way! We do this through our Television program and website resources.

“In Light of the Word” is a television and web based ministry produced weekly by the church of Christ in New Iberia, Louisiana. We have a call upon our hearts to bring discipleship materials to everyone who needs them here and overseas for free. And we need your help!

We began production “In Light of the Word” in 2005. Initially, we were trying to reach fifteen parishes (counties) in southern Louisiana with God’s Word. There was the potential of reaching over One Million Eight Hundred Thousand homes every week! The response was almost overwhelming for our small church consisting of 35 families. But, with God’s help, we were able to furnish free audio CD’s and DVD’s to those requesting the material.

We soon launched a website to make receiving the material easier for the viewing public. This is when God really started to use us. Our website requests come to us from all over the world! The entire United States, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, the Ukraine, South America, Australia, etc., and the list has grown to over sixty five countries around the world. We receive over 15,000 hits on our website monthly and the requests for our material are staggering!

Production of the In Light of the Word Television ministry, the purchase and manufacturing of CD’s and DVD’s, postage to countries around the world, etc. is expensive. We need you assistance.

We utilize this media to share the word of Christ through home Bible Studies, personal and devotional study, Wednesday night and Sunday morning Bible studies, teaching young people, personal evangelism, and many other ministries. The New Iberia Church of Christ trusts these programs will enrich the lives of all that experience them.
